“Sheryl Oring's I Wish to Say is a powerful, provocative performance experience. It was simple to produce and inspired deep dialogue on campus about the intersection of civic action and art. Having I Wish to Say on campus introduced our students to street theater, performance art, intentional aesthetic simplicity and durability, and the democratic power of the postal service. Sheryl was extremely easy to work with. Her thoughtful collaboration, warm-hearted engagement with our community, and her body of work captivated our community. Bringing I Wish to Say to campus also yielded opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration between the Arts, History, and Library Services departments. ”
